St. Marys-Alice Mae Thomas Trask, 69, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 at Stormont Vail Regional Hospital in Topeka. She was born April 27, 1943 at Ft. Sill, OK, the daughter of Clifford and Bessie Manning Thomas. Alice was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was united in marriage to Charles Trask on August 10, 1961 at Sayre, OK. She leaves behind her husband of 52 years, her two daughters, Stephanie Palmberg, Emmett, and Stacey Jukes, Topeka; two grandchildren, Lacey and Levi Jukes, Belvue. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday, April 1, 2013 at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys. Memorial services will be at a later date.   1. Oh Mommy, how I miss you so much already! You have only been gone a week but it seems so much longer! I know you did not like to go to the doctor but this time I wish you would have earlier! We watched you go through so much pain your last few days of your life and I am thankful that you are not hurting anymore! I am selfish but I wish you would of not left us so soon but I know it was your time to be with the rest of our family! I hope you are having a wonderful time catching up with our family that have left us years ago! May you rest in peace Mommy! I love you and miss you more than you will ever know!   3. Sorry for your loss. We live in Lincoln, KS. My great granddad was Henry (Harry) Trask. He died in Seiling, OK in 1912. Was wondering if we could be related.

  4. I love you Aunt Alice. You were my only Aunt and I will never be the same now that you are gone. However, you would want me to let go of my selfish grief. So until we meet again…just know you went in the coolest way ever. You had to be one of God’s favorites to go out like that! I am in awe of your pure and gentle life force. I always was. May you walk hand in hand with God forever~

    Words can’t express my sorrow over the loss of Alice. She was a wonderful, sweet woman. I have so many fond memories of days spent at your house all my growing up years. She was my favorite second mom. I know that she was very proud of all of you and will forever be right here with you. May your memories bring you comfort in this most difficult time.
