  1. Sorry I’m late in noticing Mrs. DeVader’s death, but I wanted to say how much I always appreciated her as a parent of students and support at St. Marys High School. She was always the first to step up and volunteer and was always looking out for her children. She was a “straight shooter” and I always knew exactly where she was coming from. She always had her children’s interests at heart. I know she will be terribly missed but is in a better place. My sympathy goest to her many family and friends. May she rest in peace.

  5. I remember meeting Catherine shortly after starting to teach at St. Mays High School. She did love her sports, but I believe she loved watching her kids play most of all. No one could out yell her at a game, and everyone knew what kid she was yelling for. Catherine was a great fan. She was a good person to know, but I believe she was even a better mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. We are so sorry for your loss. She will be missed by so many.

  6. “Hey, Jeannette! Come over hear and help me put my earrings on!” was what I heard across the dayroom the last time I visited loved ones at the Manor. Her voice was undeniably unique… and it fit her perfectly. Just remembering the sound makes me smile.

I pray God’s love, comfort and peace surround her loved ones as we celebrate and remember Aunt Catherine’s life here on earth. And to God I give the glory as she is welcomed into His Kingdom.

    Jeannette DeVader

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

  9. I remember Catherine well, as far back as I can remember. What a great lady! She took my mom under her wing in the months she was at the manor, and I know it gave Mom comfort to have Catherine just down the hall. To all her family, I am very sorry for your loss. May she rest in peace.

  10. I grew very close to Catherine while working at the Manor for the last 3 years.
