Margaret Evelyn Baer Guyle 1950     Surrounded by family and friends Evelyn Hill went to be   with the Lord on December 14, 2013.  Margaret (Evelyn) Hill Age 86 was born in Denver Colorado August 3, 1927 to Orris E. & Margaret Elizabeth (Hughes) Baer the 5th of 7 children.  In her early years she lived in Brunswick Missouri, Denver Colorado, Murfreesboro Tennessee, Travis AFB California and then resided in Rossville Kansas.

    She Married Walter R. Guyle on November 16, 1947 then later married William (Bill) Hill.  She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, brothers Irvin Baer, Elvin Baer, Riley L. Baer, sisters Nigel B. (Baer) Orr and Lyndall “Imogene” (Baer) Lewis. 

     She is survived by a brother James (Paula) Baer Aurora Co., sons Steven (Debbie) Guyle Rossville, Phillip (Sheilah) Guyle Ottawa, David (Sheila) Guyle Topeka and Daniel (Brenda) Guyle Carbondale, Daughters Janice Deiter Rossville and Margaret “Peggy” (Darrel) Manning Lyndon.  She is also survived by sister-in-laws Mary Lou Fair Abilene and Billie Jo Rivera and brother-in-law Jose Rivera Junction City, also 24 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.                 

     Evelyn cultured many relationships everywhere she lived and maintained those relationships throughout the years.  She will be missed by all those who knew her.

     She was a member of Family of God Church Topeka Kansas

     Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the Rossville Christian Church.  Interment will be in the Rossville Cemetery.  Mrs. Hill will lie-in-state after 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Piper Funeral Chapel in Rossville where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 P.M.  Memorial contributions may be made to Global Missions P.O.   1. Grandma, I know its been a little while since you have passed away. But, I still miss you like crazy more and more everyday! A lot this last week I have wished you could have been by my side and helped me through problems and make me smile by your jokes! I still remember part of your “poem” or “rhyme” that went ” if you were a picture on the wall, I’d stare at it and never let if fall! If you were an elephant I’d load you up in the back of my truck.” I miss it grandma around this time last year we were getting calls saying you weren’t doing well but you held it off too see your grandsons birthdays! I know you were there with us celebrating my dads yesterday! Miss you!

  3. Our thoughts and prayers to the family after hearing about Evelyns passing. She was a remarkable woman and will truly missed by all. Time goes by too fast as it seems not to long ago the family lived on the corner of Main and Pottawatomie and gave me memories from my childhood years that i will always have.

  9. Grandma you got life right. You knew it wasnt about money or possessions it was about love and relationships. You always had a close relationship with our lord one that nothing could ever break. And no one in the family ever had to question if you loved them. Grandma we love you too and i am sure you and Jesus are livin it up. You will be missed until we meet again.

  11. Grandma, I love you. You were an awesome, caring person. You always put other peoples needs before your own which I really loved about you. You always said “when I get to drive again, I’m going to go to Hardies.” I’m going to miss you calling our birthdays, telling your jokes, and pranking me that something is on my shirt. But, you are in heaven having a blast. Love you and miss you! See you again someday.
