Mary Baker

Mary Elizabeth Theresa (Ruggero) Baker was born in Brooklyn, NY., on July 16, 1944. At a very early age she was stricken with polio but was able to do well for herself and attended college. She held a government job in Manhattan, New York. She entered a convent in Pennsylvania in the 1970's and stayed there for only three years. Some time after leaving the convent she met Joseph Baker whom she married and shared her life with until his death. She leaves her sisters Phyllis Pedreira, Dunnellon, FL., and Carrie Mormino, Staten Island,NY.; a brother Joseph Mormino, Staten Island New York. She will be terribly missed by her siblings. Requiem Mass will be at 7:00 A.M. Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Assumption Chapel, St. Marys. Interment will be in Our Lady Of Peace Cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed at 5:10 P.M. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 also at Assumption Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple St., St. Marys, Kansas 66536 to help offset her funeral account.
