It is with a heavy heart that I write this having spent many hours with Michael and knowing the special talents he possessed. The many times we laughed and spent time exploring new possibilities of our world. The words I say here can not explain how heartbroken I am for you and your family. May God watch over all of you and bless you.

Michael, I have known you so little, but so much because of the great joy that was shared by, and the kind and proud words and stories told by your dad, that the words that I can express at your passing cannot be enough to explain the sorrow that I feel. I know that you will be deeply missed by all, and prayers are being lifted up from my family to all of Mi

There never were words for the loss of ones own child. I know sorry seems so little at this time but although we did not know your family or son, we know you are going through the worse loss one can go through in this life. Please know our thoughts, prayers are with you and may Michael find his welcome to heaven with the most warmest of love from God as he will some day see you again.

I can’t say how much I cared about Michael. A great friend of mine that I have felt as if he was a brother to me. It hurts to think that he is physically gone, but spiritually he still is. I miss him so much. I can’t describe how fun it was to hang-out with him at camping trips and other activities. To see him so excited and working very hard on reaching Eagle Scout makes me hurt more. Michael, may not have been a biological brother, but he was still considered a brother. I won’t ever forget him. May you rest in peace brother.

    Your’s in Brotherhood,

  36. Dear Bill and Cheryl,

We are so deeply sorry for your loss. There are no words that can explain the pain of a parent who loses their child. My heart aches for your whole family. My son rode the bus with Michael and said he was one of the nicest kids he ever met and that Michael was always polite and respectful. That is how I remember him from classes as well. I hope you can find peace in knowing that one day you will be reunited with Michael in Eternity.

    Our Deepest Sympathies,
