  3. I am so saddened to hear of Pat’s death. He will be greatly missed. Pat and my older brother were good friends a long time ago. I remember Pat coming over to hang out at our house and he always had his pet rat with him on his shoulder. Your family will be added to our prayers.

  4. We are so sorry for your loss!
We will continue to pray for peace and comfort for your family.

  5. Though I personally did not know Pat, he was my son-in-law Matt and daughter Erin’s very close friend. My grandchildren loved him and would tell me stories about their “Uncle Pat” I visited Topeka three years ago and had the pleasure of meeting Pat then. I instantly liked the tall, gentle young man. I felt he was very nice with a quick wit and caring demeanor. I’m at a lost for words to convey my feelings on Pat’s passing. The world lost a kind soul with his leaving and my grandchildren lost a positive role model that will be impossible to replace. My sincere condolences to Pat’s family, friends, and co-workers. May your memories give you comfort in the days ahead.

  6. We are sending warm thoughts and heartfelt sympathy. May God grant you peace during this difficult time.

  8. It was you, Helen, who brought Patrick to piano lessons every week and several times a year to group lessons as well. He spoke affectionately and respectfully of his family.
One of the pieces he chose to learn and play during our latter time
together was “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” While Hammerstein and Rogers might not have intended it as a religious song, I feel sure it spoke to Patrick with its strong moving melody and words of beauty and strength, of hope and assurance. I believe Jesus is walking right beside him so that truly Patrick will never walk alone.

May God be your comfort, strength, and peace.

    Sincerely, Enid E. Hickman

  16. I became acquainted with Patrick with my work at HF Rubber. He was always an honor to work with. His demander was kind and calm. I looked forward working with him because I knew he would assist me in whatever issue I had. Very grateful to know him, and my thoughts and prayers are with family and friends at this time.

  17. I only knew Patrick since late November 2014, when I started with HFRM. Though I didn’t know him as long or as well as many did, I count myself blessed to have been able to work with him. He was always able to bring me a laugh or smile. He was far too young to go so soon. Heaven has gained a rockin’ Trekkie and is better for it. God bless Patrick and his family/friends. Rest in peace and know that we’ll never forget you.

  18. I have few childhood memmories that weren’t with Pat. He was the most talented musician I’ve ever known. He had a huge heart and always had a hug for me when I hadn’t seen him in a while.
