Vicky Catron

Rossville—Vicky L. Catron, 45, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the University of Arkansas Medical School at Little Rock.

 

She was born January 26, 1970 in Topeka, the daughter of Roy W. and Mary Ann Flerlage Reser.  She grew up in the Rossville community and graduated from Rossville High School in 1988.  Vicky attended airline flight attendant school in Florida.

 

Vicky was a homemaker and active in the family business.  She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and the Rossville Booster Club both in Rossville.  She was very community minded and was involved in most all community activities.  Vicky loved spending time with her family.

 

On October 17, 1993 she was united in marriage to Vern Catron in St. Marys.  He survives of the home.

 

Other survivors include three sons, Dalton, Payton and Corey all of Rossville; her daughter , Lauryn, Rossville; her parents, Roy and Mary Ann Reser, St. Marys; a brother, Doug (Melanie) Reser, Delia; a sister, Kelly (Todd) Brown, Rossville; mother-in-law Maxine Catron, Delia; father-in-law, Benny Catron, Meriden; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 23, 2015 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rossville.  Interment will be in the Rossville Cemetery.  Vicky will lie in state and the family will receive friends after 5:00 P.M. Friday, May 22, 2015 at the church where there will be a rosary recited at 7:00 P.M.  In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Catron Children’s Education Fund and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple St., St. Marys, Kansas 66536.

  1. We thought of you today. But that is nothing new. We thought about you yesterday, and the days before that too. We think about you in silence, and oftern speak your name. Now all we have is the wonderful memories and your picture in a frame. Your memory is our keepsake, with which we will cherish and never part. God has you in his keeping. We have you in our heart.   3. My dear cousin . . . so young, too soon. My heart is heavy to learn of her passing. I just know that my Aunt Margaret, who was Vicky’s grandma, was there waiting for her on the other side as well as all the other family who have gone before her.     I am praying for you, the kids, and the extended family who all will miss the joy and presence only Vicky could bring. I will always remember what beautiful ‘lil angels I saw in the faces of both your adorable daughters, Vicki & Kelly, when I first met them as little girls waaay back in 1972.
