Agnes H. Lacock, 102, died Friday, March 22, 2013 at St. Marys Manor. She was born January 25, 1911 at St. Marys, the daughter of Carl F. and Alma Brown Carlson. Agnes grew up in the St. Marys community and graduated from St. Marys High School in 1928. Mrs. Lacock had worked at the Mission Motel, Mr. D's and later for Simecka's Hy-Klas all in St. Marys. She was a member of the St. Marys United Methodist Church, Hoy-Heim American Legion Auxiliary; St. Marys Senior Center where she was a past board member and a life member of Arthur Chapter of the OES. On February 4, 1934 she was united in marriage to Frank L. Lacock at Topeka. He preceded her in death on September 26, 1954. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother Roy Carlson and two sisters Evelyn Fields and Adena Fields. Survivors include two sons, Dennis "Butch" (Judy) Lacock, Lawrence and Mike Lacock, St. Marys. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Piper Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery, St. Marys.
