Bertha Glotzbach

St. Marys-Bertha M. Glotzbach, 97, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the St. Marys Manor. She was born July 4, 1918 at Paxico, the daughter of George and Clara Meinhardt Glotzbach. Bertha was raised in the Paxico community and attended Strickler's Business College in Topeka. She moved to Washington D.C. where she started a lengthy career with the United States State Department which ran from the early 40's until the early 2000's. Bertha later moved back to Kansas and just recently moved to St. Marys to be near her brother. She was a member of the Catholic Church. Bertha was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Clara Glotzbach, Marie Floersch and Hilda Fehrenbach and brothers, Arnold, Conrad and Albert Glotzbach. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 1, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 AM. at the church. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
