Eskridge- Bonnie Lea Hinck, 65, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at her rural Eskridge Home. She was born January 16, 1948 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, the daughter of T. Russell and Maud H. Hermon Spencer. She attended Deer Creek Elementary in the Stull community and graduated from Lawrence High School. Bonnie graduated from Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia and later received her Master degree from Emporia State College. Bonnie taught school in USD # 330 from 1971 until she retired in 2002. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Stull and later the Section Church of Christ at Osage City. Bonnie was a member of the Burlingame Quilt Guild. Bonnie loved quilting and spending time with her husband, kids, and grandchildren on the family farm. She also enjoyed spending time with her extended family. Attending any event that involved her kids, grandkids, and extended family always brought her joy. She volunteered as a reader to listen and read to the students at Mission Valley Elementary after she retired. On June 2, 1973 she was united in marriage to Jim Hinck at Topeka. He survives of the home. Other survivors include a son, Adam (Wendi) Hinck, Eskridge; two daughters Melissa (Eddy) Brown, Eskridge and Becky Hinck of the home; two brothers, Philip (Gwen) Spencer, Melvern, and Jim (Fonda) Spencer, Quenemo; her sister Georgia Wingfield, Lecompton; mother-in-law, Evelyn Anderson, Eskridge and five grandchildren, Caleb, Colbey and Corbett Hinck and Dakota and Spencer Brown. Graveside inurnment will be at 10:00 A.M.Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the EastViewCemetery near Big Springs. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Section Church of Christ 11553 Hwy 56 near OsageCity.
