Emmett-Carlyle Lee Clagett, 63, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at his home in Emmett.
He was born March 11, 1957, in Manhattan, the son of Don and Beta Clagett. Carlyle graduated from Manhattan High School in 1975. He served in the United States Marine Corp.
Carlyle was a cook, and he last cooked at the Golden Eagle Casino. He had lived in the Emmett community since 1996.
On September 15, 1990, he was united in marriage to Linda Hill in Manhattan. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his children: Daniel Clagett, Roxanne Miller, Matt Clagett, Samantha Rice, Scott Clagett, Paul Rice, and Casey Clagett; his sister, Verleta Myers, of Manhattan; and many grandchildren.
Carlyle was cremated per his wishes. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions to help with funeral expenses may be sent in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple Street, St. Marys, Kansas 66536.
