Eskridge-Clayton L. Stephenson, 75, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 at his rural Eskridge Home. He was born December 23, 1939 at Miller, the son of Homer and Evelyn Parks Stephenson. Clayton graduated from Northern Heights High School in 1957. Clayton was a ranch manager and later owned a milk route. He owned C & E Motors in Eskridge and enjoyed his time when he was in business with his horses and buggies. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, James D. Stephenson. On July 31, 1957 he was united in marriage to Elda M. Greeve at Scottsbluff, NE. She survives of the home. Other survivors include two sons, Wayne Stephenson, Alma and Lee Stephenson Eskridge; a daughter, Deb Meek, Eskridge; two brothers, Verle Stephenson, Hiawatha and Larry Stephenson, Nebraska City, NE; a sister, Claudia Honea, Topeka; a grandson that he and Elda raised, Tuff Stephenson, Eskridge; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Memorial Graveside Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Eskridge Cemetery.
