David Miller

Maple Hill--David W. Miller, 58, died Friday, April 27, 2018 near Maple Hill in a farm accident. He was born October 7, 1959 in Topeka the son of Donald and Elizabeth Pendelton Miller. David grew up in the Rossville and Willard communities. He graduated from Rossville High School in 1977 and then attended and graduated from Cloud County Community College. David was a farmer all of his life. He was a partner/operator of Miller Farms LLC. He was a life member of FFA; David was a member of the Mission Creek Township and had been a past member of the St. Marys COOP board. On September 17, 1981 he was united in marriage to Noel Hier in Topeka. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his son, Chisholm David Miller and his fiancé ,Sara Gardner, Waukesha, WI; his parents, Don and Betty Miller, Topeka; siblings, Louise "LuAnn" (Paul) Baumchen, Lawrence, Diana (Jim) Iseman, Burlington, Suzanne (Ronnie) Tull, Willard, Sarah (Kevan) Meinershagen, Lawrence and Daniel (Jennifer) Miller, Willard. Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Dover Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 P.M. Friday, May 4, 2018 at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mission Valley FFA and sent to Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple St., St. Marys, Kansas 66536.
