It is with solemn hearts that we announce the passing of Debra Lynn (Terry) Langley, age 66, who left us peacefully on October 15, 2024.
Debbie was born on October 31, 1957, to Steve and Katherine Terry in Topeka, KS. The family relocated to Hoyt, KS, in 1971, where she graduated from Royal Valley High School, Class of 1975. Over the years, she worked passionately in all areas of food service, and in 2019, she completed a program to earn her Certified Dietary Manager credentials.
Debbie’s Halloween birthday was a source of great pride for her. She relished in elaborate decorations and found immense joy in scaring the neighborhood each year. She was also known for her love of clowns, building a vast collection of hundreds of unique pieces over the years. Above all, her greatest joy was being a grandma. Fondly known as “Mammow” to her grandchildren, she spent much of her time in retirement with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Debbie began dating Paul Langley in 2008, and the couple enjoyed attending numerous car shows together, building a car community that spans several states. They cherished working registration at multiple shows each year. Debbie and Paul married in 2015 at Daryl Starbird’s Rod and Custom Hall of Fame in Grand Lake, OK.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Paul M. Langley Jr., of Eskridge, KS; her mother, Alice Katherine (Grice) Terry, of Topeka, KS; her sister, Jo (Aldred) Flowers, of Topeka, KS; her brother, Tony (Caroline) Terry, of Plainville, KS; her daughters, Tobi Terry and Aspen Egbert, both of Eskridge, KS; her son and daughter-in-law, Bridger Egbert and Becky Crook; her stepchildren, Kelly (Angela) Langley of Topeka, KS, and Carlene (Mikey) Brooks of Richland, WA; her grandchildren, Brogan, Dalton, Dayton and Karlyn Area, Braylyn Trout, Isaac and Lucas Langley, Lillian and Maxwell Falenofoa; her great-grandchildren, Hayven and Sadie Cooper and Brynlee Area; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Steve Terry Jr., and her brother, Tommy Terry.
A celebration of life honoring Debbie will be held on November 16, 2024, in Eskridge, KS. Please join us from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Eskridge Senior Center, 208 S. Main St.
