Donald Remington

Donald D. “Don” Remington, 84, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Stormont Vail Hospital.

Don was born February 22, 1937, at Carbondale the son of Noble C. and Florence E. Rowe Remington.  He had lived in the rural Carbondale community all of his life.

Don was a farmer and had worked at Gregg Tire in Topeka.  He later was a custodian for USD No. 434 at the Santa Fe Trail High School.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lucille Addington, Marie Waetzig, Helen Boaz, Jean Gish, Pearl Moore, Erma Trowbridge, Idell Piper, and Mae Sanchez; two brothers, Marvin Remington and Raymond Remington.

Don was married to Anita L. Barbro on September 5, 1970, in St. Louis, MO.  She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his son, Jerry C. Remington, Overbrook; and his daughter, Alicia (Kip) Mount, Newkirk, OK; a brother, Robert (Viola) Remington, Topeka; one grandson, Fredrick Thor Phillips.

Graveside memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 16, 2021, at the Carbondale Cemetery.
