Auburn - Francis O. Green, 89, rural Auburn died Sunday, November 10, 2013 at a Topeka Hospital. He was born December 1, 1923 at Bogue, Kansas the son of Frank and Cecelia Rohe Green. Mr. Green graduated from Bogue High School in 1941 and served in the United States Navy. Mr. Green was a farmer and a carpenter. He was a member of the Dover Federated Church and the American Legion in Topeka. He had been a past member of the Carpenters Union and the Dover Ball Association. Mr. Green enjoyed reading, sports, puzzles & funny stories but mostly spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Boyd and Loren. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lorraine Vilander Green of the home; daughters Penny (Larry) Lister, Dover and Kristy Green, Kittanning, PA; a son, Robin Green, Harveyville; five grandchildren, Francy, Laramy, Libby, Lindy and Zane; seven great-grandchildren with one on the way. Memorial funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M.Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the DoverFederatedChurch. The family will receive friends at the church hall from 10:00 until service time.
