Jeanne Stamos

Jeanne Marie Stamos, 84, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. She was born January 24, 1932 in Minneapolis, MN., the daughter of Alois and Agnes Rial Nikolai. Mrs. Stamos had lived in Minneapolis and moved to California where she lived several years until moving back to Minneapolis and Burnesville. She moved to St. Marys in July 1998. Mrs. Stamos was a member of the Assumption Chapel. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, James and Jerome. She was united in marriage to James Stamos in 1951 in Minneapolis. He survives of the home. Other survivors include her children, Mark Stamos, California, John (Sara`) Stamos, Maryland, Steven (Denise) Stamos, St. Marys, Robert (Lora) Stamos, Minnesota, Maria Ann (Steve) Youngs, Minnesota and Karen (Lawrence) Schwanbeck, St. Marys; her sister Joan Kilian, California; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Requiem Mass will be at 7:15 A.M. Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Assumption Chapel in St. Marys. Interment will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery St. Marys. Mrs. Stamos will lie in state on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Piper Funeral Home from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. a Rosary will be recited at 5:20 P.M. at Assumption Chapel.
