Kathy Ann Page, 67, of Tecumseh, Kansas died on March 3rd, 2024 from medical complications following a car accident on February 7th.
Kathy was born at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas on November 16th, 1956 to the late Fred and Louise Kepfield.
She grew up in Topeka with her brother Fred. She also spent many happy hours on the family farm in the Atchison, Kansas area, at the home of her Aunt Marie and Uncle Henry Roloff.
She attended Whitson Elementary and Topeka West High School, graduating in the class of 1974. She later studied horticulture for one year at Kansas State University.
Kathy was a hard-working mother who loved her children fiercely.
She worked as a bus para for Topeka Public Schools for nineteen years up until the time of her death and was one of the longest-serving bus paras in the district. She loved her students deeply and would help teach them how to read while on the bus, using books that she kept from when her children were young.
Besides raising her children and her work, her life was most strongly defined by her Catholic faith. She attended Sunday Mass at SSPX in St. Mary’s, Kansas, and had a devoted prayer life.
She was a huge fan of K-State sports, as well as the Kansas City Chiefs and the Royals. From her studies in horticulture, Kathy maintained a lifelong knowledge of plants and loved working in her garden tending to her many flowers. She also enjoyed shopping at thrift stores and finding thoughtful gifts for her family and friends.
Kathy believed strongly in the importance of both physical and spiritual health. She lived a life of devotion to God and was an embodiment of compassionate service to others. Her expression of love and joy is irreplaceable.
Kathy is preceded in death by her father, Fred Kepfield II, her mother Louise Kepfield (Roloff), and her brother Fred Kepfield III.
She is survived by her children Lauren, William, Karl, and daughter-in-law Carolyn Page.
