Maple Hill-Larry D. Stewart, 72, died Thursday, April 30, 2015 at his rural Maple Hill Home. He was born February 6, 1943 at Leavenworth, the son of Donald and Maxine Cooper Stewart. Larry grew up in the Leavenworth, Galveston, TX, and Marion Kansas communities. He graduated from Marion High School in 1962. Larry served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Stewart worked in management for South Western Bell at Newton and Topeka for many years. He had lived in the Maple Hill community for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents. On February 27, 1971 he was united in marriage to Debbie Finke at Marion. She survives of the home. Other survivors include a son, Cody Stewart, Maple Hill; his daughter Dawn (Kenny) Schiffner, Abilene; three grandsons, Layne, Tyler and Cody. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday, May 4, 2015 at the Maple Hill Community Congregational Church in Maple Hill. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M.
