Born on March 19, 1934, in his beloved hometown of Harveyville, KS, Leroy's life was marked by a deep commitment to helping those around him. He attended Harveyville High School and later served his country with honor as a US Army Korean War Veteran stationed at Ft. Lewis, WA. He lived his life in service to others, often assisting local farmers during plant layoffs and volunteering at various organizations such as the Oddfellows and the Colmery-O-Neil VA Hospital in Topeka.
One of Leroy's greatest joys was spending time with his family. He cherished moments like his 90th birthday celebration and valued family above all else.
