Lois Marie Harrington

Lois Marie Harrington, age 93, passed away on Monday, December 18,2023, at her residence in St. Marys.

Born on April 19, 1930, in Los Angeles, California, she was the daughter of Robert and Louise Beakey Johnson.  Lois spent her early years in California before relocating to Texas in 1950.  She resided in Midland, TX, until her move to St. Marys in 2019.

Lois M. Johnson and W.C. Harrington were joined in matrimony in Midland in 1953.  He preceded her in death in 1987.  She was also preceded in death by her son, Patrick Kevin Harrington, and siblings Roberta Bothwell, R.E. Johnson, Jr., Richard Johnson, and Mary Schwam, as well as her grandson Sean Skees.

A member of the Immaculata Church in St. Marys, Lois was also actively involved in the Association of Retarded Citizens and the Pro-Life movement. She dedicated her time as a volunteer at the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum.

Surviving family members include her children W.C. Harrington, Jr., Michael Harrington, Megan Skees, and Tina Miller, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Requiem Mass will be at 9:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 27. 2023, at the Immaculata Catholic Church in St. Marys.  Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery at Midland.  A Rosary will be recited On Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at 5:20 P.M. in the Immaculata. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Marys Academy by visiting the memorial contribution site or sent in care of Piper Funeral Home.
