Margaret Mary McGowan

Margaret M. McGowan, 65, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 24, 2025 at her home. She was born December 1, 1959 in Ann Arbor, MI; the daughter of Frances (Mournighan) McGowan of Florida and the late Francis McGowan (Fall River).

Margaret worked for the Hartford Insurance Co., for many years. She was a faithful communicant of St. Joseph Church in Winsted. She enjoyed nature especially Burr Pond. She loved spending time with her family especially her cherished nieces and nephews. She had many friends in the Winsted and the New England area.

In addition to her mother, she leaves her twelve siblings, Michael (Leslie) McGowan, Kathleen Ryan, Patrick (Esther) McGowan, Steve (Cindy) McGowan, Elizabeth (Lynn) Landholm, Eileen Johnson, Maureen (John) Kiely, Thomas (Sue) McGowan, Joseph McGowan, Brigid McGowan, Patricia (David Clark) McGowan and Peter McGowan; 12 nieces and nephews and many close friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am, Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys, KS. A rosary will be said the evening prior, at 5 pm at Piper Funeral Home, also in St. Marys.
