Margaret VanHoye

Margaret E. VanHoye, 100, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the Community Hospital in St. Marys. She was born March 27, 1915 at Stekene, Belgium the daughter of Joseph Peter and Leontina Maes VanVlerberghe. She grew up in Belgium and moved to the United States a week after her marriage to Achiel VanHoye. She had lived in St Clair Shores, MI., many years before moving to St. Marys on April 2, 2013. Mrs. VanHoye was a member of Assumption Chapel. Mrs. VanHoye was preceded in death by her husband, Achiel VanHoye on May 15, 1986. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Survivors include her daughter, Vivian (Ralph) Fryzelka, St. Marys; six grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Requiem Mass will be at 7:15 A.M. Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Assumption Chapel. Interment will be in Our Lady Of Peace Cemetery, St. Marys. A rosary will be recited at 5:20 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2016 at the church.
