Mary Gleason

Maple Hill-Mary E. Gleason, 82, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 at the St. Marys Manor. She was born April 28, 1933 at Maple Hill the middle triplet of Thomas Robert and Edith Viva Moran Logan. Mary grew up in the Dover community and graduated from Dover High School in 1951. Mary lived in the Dover and Maple Hill communities all of her life. She had worked at the Santa Fe Offices and Trinity Insurance both in Topeka. She later worked at USD No. 330 and for the Wabaunsee County RWD No. 1. Mary was a member of the Dover Federated Church. She was an active leader in 4-H for many years, she was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was active in the Dover Heritage Days. On February 7, 1953 she was united in marriage to Maurice L. Gleason. He died October 17, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Martin, Elden Dale, Marion and Charles Duane Logan. Survivors include her children, Joyce (Timothy) McCoy, Piedmont, OK., and their children, Matthew (Ashlyn) McCoy, Chandler, AZ., Melinda (Derek) Muegge, Piedmont, OK., Kevin (Brenda) Gleason, and their children, Reed & Chase, Uniontown, Steven (Mary) Gleason, and their children, Jacob, Rebecca, Benjamin, Joseph and Samuel, and Rhonda (Robert) McClelland, Maple Hill, and their children, Robert (Fiancé, Caitlin) Salina, Rodger & RaeLynn, Maple Hill; and her sisters, Margaret Phillips and Margery Blythe both of Maple Hill; sister-in-law, Mary Logan, Burlington. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Dover Federated Church, Dover, Kansas. Mrs. Gleason will lie in state at the church with a family visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, June 18, 2015. Interment will be in the Dover Cemetery.
