Mary Ogle

Mary Teresa Ogle of Topeka passed away at age 86 on October 16, 2013, at Aldersgate Village, Topeka. Mary T. was born April 22, 1927, in Emmett, Kansas, the second child of John Charles and Teresa Bridget (McNeive) Zima. After graduating from Emmett High School in 1945, Mary T. married Wayne John Ogle on January 16, 1947. They resided in the Emmett area raising their three children. In 1986, they moved to Topeka and Mary T. worked 6 years for the Kansas Insurance Department.

Mrs. Ogle was preceded in death by her husband in 2001, her brothers John Patrick Zima in 1945 and James Francis Zima in 1998, and sons John Wayne Ogle in 2008 and James Francis Ogle in 2010. Mary T. is survived by her sisters Kathleen Ann McNeive and Eileen Knipp, both of St. Marys, and daughter Linda Marie (Michael) Peterson, Surprise, Arizona. In addition, she has 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Marys where the family will receive friends from 10:00 until service time. Inurnment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Aldersgate Village Good Samaritan Fund and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home 714 Maple, St. Marys, Kansas 66536.
