St. Marys-Melva J. McEnulty, 87, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at the Community Hospital in St. Marys. She was born December 17, 1931 at McLouth the daughter of Henry Verl and Hazel Melva Thompson Moses. She graduated from McLouth High School in 1949. Melva and her husband Bernard owned and operated McEnulty Grocery Store in Emmett for many years before they retired. She was a very active member of the Emmett United Methodist Church where she served on many committees and had taught Sunday school. On September 15, 1949 she was united in marriage to Bernard E. McEnulty at Tonganoxie. He preceded her in death on September 22, 2006; She was also preceded in death by her brother Henry E. Moses: and her son, Timothy McEnulty on November 5, 2007. Survivors include a niece and nephews, Larry (Annette), David (Julie), Raymond (Diana), Judith (David) and Mike (Melissa). Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Emmett United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the St. Clere Cemetery, Emmett. Mrs. McEnulty will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral.
