Miguel Tostado

Miguel H. Tostado, 82, of Topeka passed away Saturday, December 7, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO.

He was born April 29, 1931 in Topeka and attended Topeka Schools.

Mr. Tostado retired from the United States Marine Corp serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars receiving seven purple hearts. He later was a teacher in Los Angeles for 20 years retiring and moving back to Topeka in the early 2000's. Mr. Tostado was a member of the Assumption Chapel in St. Marys. He is survived by friends and family.

Requiem High Mass will be at 7:00 A.M. Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Assumption Chapel in St. Marys. Interment with military honors will be at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, St. Marys. A rosary will be recited at the church at 6:00 P.M. Friday, December 13, 2013. Memorials are asked to be in the form of Masses for the repose of his soul and may be sent to Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple Street, St. Marys, KS 66536.
