St. Marys-Nadine M. Perry, 86, passed away Monday, November 16, 2015 with her loving family by her side at the St. Marys Manor. She was born June 20, 1929 at Paxico, the daughter of William Frank and Helena Steck Kolde. Nadine moved to St. Marys from Newbury when she was in the 4th grade. Mrs. Perry was a homemaker. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys and was an honorary member of the ladies circle at the church. Nadine loved flowers and enjoyed arranging them into beautiful bouquets. She took great pride in cooking meals for her family, and loved to share her prized recipes with her children. She was united in marriage to George J. Perry on March 29, 1947 in St. Marys. He preceded her in death on February 29, 2008. Survivors include two sons, Bill and Mike Perry, both of Topeka; five daughters, Judy (Roy) Muckenthaler, Sandy (Clay) Winters and Nancy Lister all of St. Marys, Mary Kaye (Tony) Siebert, Wamego and Lori Westdale, Rossville; two sisters, Helen Tarbutton, Hawthorne, CA and Betty Aills, Salina; 14 grandchildren, Jackie (Tim) Moylan, Chris Simecka, Michael (Julie) Hiner, Jonathan Hiner, Angela Hiner, Emily (Will) Warnes, Lindsey (Darren) Croley, Ben Siebert, Sara (Heath) Lawson, Kylie Perry, Mitchell Ralph, Chris Perry, Nick Perry and Elizabeth (Sean) Vanhouten; 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 20, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newbury. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys. Mrs. Perry will lie in state after 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 and a rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M.
