With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Nancy Kay Kranz Bell, who left this world on March 26, 2025, in Rossville, KS.
Born on May 21, 1953, in Horton, KS, Nancy was the beloved daughter of Clarence and Bonnie Kranz of Denison, KS. Nancy’s life was one defined by love, devotion, and a deep commitment to her family. She shared 53 wonderful years of marriage with her late husband, George Bell, whom she married on October 2, 1971. Their partnership was one of unwavering support, and she played an essential role in both their family life and George’s business.
She was a loving mother to her two sons, Jason Bell and Michael Bell, and a proud grandmother to her five cherished grandchildren—Jonah, Halle, Taryn, Trina, and Isaac—who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her brother, Ron Kranz, and sister, Karen Kranz McCrory.
Nancy found fulfillment in the simple joys of life. Whether volunteering at her sons’ schools, cheering on local teams with the Rossville Booster Club, or spending time with her parents in their later years, she gave her heart fully to those she loved. A homebody at heart, she also enjoyed the occasional visit to the casino, where she relished the chance to connect with friends and share laughter. Her warm spirit, self-deprecating humor, and gift for conversation made her a cherished friend to many. She was never one to let distance keep her from staying in touch, always ready to pick up the phone to chat about family, the news, or her favorite TV show. Nancy’s presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to family will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
A celebration of Nancy’s life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor her memory by sharing a story, lending a helping hand to someone in need, or simply picking up the phone to connect with a loved one—just as Nancy so often did.
