Patricia Herrmann

Patricia Lou Herrmann, 72, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 at Lexington Park in Topeka. She was born May 31, 1943 at Sabetha, the daughter of Patrick and Clara Maurine Shadal Reid. Mrs. Herrmann graduated from Sabetha High School in 1962. She received her education degree from KSTC in Emporia and also her Master's Degree. Mrs. Herrmann taught at Delphos and had taught at Herington from 1969 until her retirement in 2004. She was a member of St John's Catholic Church in Herington. She also was a member of NEA, KNEA and Beta Sigma Phi. Patricia was a member of the Family Resource Exchange in Herington. Mrs. Herrmann was proud of her Irish heritage and had made several trips to Ireland. On August 30, 1962 she was united in marriage to Stephen J. Herrmann at Sabetha. He preceded her in death on October 14, 2003. Survivors include two sons, Scott (Diane) Herrmann, Silver Lake and Craig (Kiffany) Herrmann, Olathe; two brothers, John Michael (Cheryl) Reid, Chanute and Steven G. (Linda) Reid, Duncanville, TX; her sister, Ann (David) Barrett, Sabetha; five grandchildren. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 10, 2015 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rossville. Inurnment will be in the Sabetha Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 A.M Saturday at the church.
