Robert Farley

St. Marys-Robert Dean "Bob" Farley, 97, died Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the St. Marys Manor. He was born May 17, 1917 at Ottawa, IL, the son of Emmanuel and Margaret Zimmerman Farley. He graduated from Ottawa High School in 1935. He moved to Kansas City in the early 40's and had been a Sales Manager for Colgate and later owned RD Sales. Bob was a member of the Leawood Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of Ararat Shrine both in Kansas City. On April 20, 1946 he was united in marriage to Virginia K. Kerr in Ottawa. She preceded him in death on June 4, 2007 after 61 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by a brother and five sisters. Survivors include a daughter, Margaret "Peggy" (Eddie) Adams, Maple Hill; two grandchildren, Janne (Casey) Denton, and Pete (LeAnn) Adams all of Maple Hill; 6 great-granddaughters. Graveside services will be at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Maple Hill Cemetery, Maple Hill, Kansas.
