Stephen Floersch

Stephen E. Floersch, 54, died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at his rural Belvue home.

He was born, September 10, 1959 at Topeka, the son of Eugene and Marie E. Glotzbach Floersch. Steve graduated from St. Marys High School.

Steve was an owner & operator of Kansas Hardwoods Inc. in Belvue and was a farmer. He was a member and board member of the Kansas Forest Products Association and was a well known member of the Forestry Forum.

He was married to Audrey Dyer at St Marys. They were divorced.

Among survivors are his son, Brandon (Laura) Floersch, Dyess AFB, TX; his sister, Ann (Jesse) Yoakum, Cleveland, MO; two step-grandchildren, Jacob and Sydney.

A prayer service will be held Friday, January 31, 2014 at 6:00 P.M. at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys. There will be a visitation after the prayer service until 8:00 P.M. Inurnment will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stephen Floersch Memorial Fund and sent in care of the funeral home.
