Eskridge-Steven F. "Steve" Clark, 69, passed away, Thursday, March 31, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born January 16, 1947 at Eskridge, the son of Floyd E. and Mary A. Willard Clark. Steve was raised in the Eskridge community and graduated from Eskridge High School in 1965. He served in the United States Air Force. Steve worked for Wabaunsee County and later Didde-Glaser Company in Emporia. He was a member of the Eskridge United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Alma Post No. 32 of the American Legion, V.F.W. and D.A.V. Steve coached summer youth baseball for many years and helped establish the Eskridge Ball Association. He was a hunter safety instructor. He was a supporter of Mission Valley Schools. Steve umpired men's fast pitch at the local and state level. He was preceded in death by his parents. Steve was united in marriage to Arlene Lexow in 1969 at Miami, OK. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his son, William "Bill" (Kim) Clark, Auburn; two brothers, Jerry Bundy, Shell Knob, MO. and Alan Clark, Eskridge; a sister, Sally Moege, Holton; a grandson, Tyler; three granddaughters, Madison, Talia and Taryn and a great-grandson, Brycen. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Eskridge United Church. Interment will be in the Eskridge Cemetery. Mr. Clark will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday, April 4, 2016 at the Cultivated Community Church (107 E. 2nd Ave, Eskridge).
