Paxico-William J. Flach, 58, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. He was born August 1, 1956 at Wamego, the son of Walter J. and Rosanna R. Shields Flach. Bill grew up in the Paxico community and graduated from Paxico High School in 1974, the last graduating class from Paxico High. He worked for Hallmark Cards for nearly 35 years before retiring due to failing health. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 1392 at the Church where he was a past Grand Knight. Bill also was a member of the Flint Hills Tractor Club. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosie and sister, Mary Jo Cooke. On August 14, 1993 he was united in marriage to Julia Kraus at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Newbury. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his children, Ann, Adam and Daniel all of the home; his father, Walter J. Flach, Paxico; his siblings, Marsha (Jim) Seematter, Hoyt, Pat (Debbie) Flach, St. Maries, ID, and Geralyn (Keith) Boyer, Wamego; his brother -in-law, Harley Cooke, Sr.; many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Newbury. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Church Cemetery. Bill will lie in state at the church Friday, May 1, 2015 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. where there will be a rosary recited at 7:00 P.M.
